About us

Email It In was founded in 2013 by Matt Sergeant, the author of the Haraka mail server, which still handles every email sent to Email It In.

Before that, Matt built the anti-spam systems for Symantec's cloud mail filtering, played a significant part in the early development of SpamAssassin, and is one of the authors of RFC 6471. Today he is also the founder of inletAP, email-first accounts-payable automation.

Since 2013 Email It In has filed over 11 million attachments into people's Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Egnyte accounts. Since October 2026 it also files into Box.
